13 YEARS AFTER “IVAN”, THIS 14 BUILDING CONDOMINIUM COMMUNITY ON PENSACOLA BEACH WAS HIT AGAIN IN 2020, THIS TIME BY HURRICANE “SALLY” – DANTE R. FABBRO, P.C.L.A. WAS CALLED ON AGAIN AND SECURED PAYMENT OF $1.6 MILLION TO COVER REPAIRS
In 2020, Hurricane “Sally” impacted Pensacola Beach. As a result, Villas on the Gulf Condominium Association, a 14 building community situated on the beach in Escambia County, sustained severe roof and interior damage.
After being very happy with Public Adjuster Dante Fabbro’s representation after “IVAN” struck in 2004, management and the board of directors moved immediately to engage him again to represent their interests on the “SALLY” claim. As was the case following “IVAN”, many on-site meetings and inspections took place with company adjusters, contractors, management, and board members to fully and accurately assess the loss. Once the claim proposal was completed, reviewed and adjusted, and approved by the board, it was forwarded to Lloyd’s of London for consideration. Within several months, the claim was settled for approximately $2,000,000. After the deductible of $400,000 was applied, payments totaling about $1,600,000 were delivered to the association.
This was another example of a condominium association taking immediate action to retain professional representation before allowing complicated issues to derail the claim and negatively impact claim results.
