PUBLIC ADJUSTERS, FABBRO & COMPANY, SECURES $1,700,000 SETTLEMENT FOR CONDOMOMINIUM ASSOCIATION EVEN AFTER CLAIM WAS FIRST FILED OVER 2 YEARS AFTER HURRICANE “IRMA”
After Hurricane “IRMA” struck Fort Myers, FL in 2017, The Enclave Condominium Association assumed their roofs did not sustain damage because of no obvious evidence of catastrophic damage. With this, the board decided not to put their insurance company on notice of a claim. As months passed, interior leaks started to appear and accelerated into 2018 and 2019. With concern that roof tiles and underlayment may have been compromised as a result of the storm, the board considered hiring a Public Adjuster to evaluate their loss and possibly pursue a claim.
After interviewing Fabbro & Company, the board retained the Public Adjusting firm to assist with their claim. Within a couple of months, Fabbro & Company met with insurance company appointed adjusters, their experts, as well as experts representing the Association and presented the board with its findings and recommendations.
After the claim proposal was presented to the board, approved, and submitted to the carrier, an agreed settlement on damages in the amount of $1,700,000 was reached. After percentage deductibles were applied, Fabbro & Company delivered a check to the board in the amount of $1,400,000.
